Your Guide to the Insurance Collision Repair Process

Dear Valued Customer,

At Ace Collision Center, we understand that dealing with vehicle repairs after an accident can be stressful. Our goal is to make the insurance collision repair process as smooth as possible, below is a guide to the steps you’ll likely encounter.

Estimates

The first step in the repair process is to start a claim and obtain an estimate for the damages to your vehicle. It’s common for the original insurance estimate to be very incomplete, this issue will be handled once we have blueprinted the vehicle damages.

Drop -off

Once you are scheduled, you can drop off your vehicle at our facility. We have a night drop box to the left of our office doors for after hours drop off. Please put your name, number, and vehicle information on the envelope.

Blueprint

After your vehicle is dropped off, we will conduct a thorough disassembly and create a blueprint outlining the detailed repairs needed. This step ensures that no damage is overlooked, and all damages are documented with photos for the insurance company.

Insurance Approval

Once the blueprint is complete, we will submit it to your insurance company for approval. This approval can take some time depending on the insurance company's efficiency and workload, please don’t hesitate to check in if there are delays in this process.

Repair Schedule

After receiving insurance approval, we will order parts and proceed with the repair work on your vehicle. At this time we will likely find out if there are any parts delays or backorders as well, we will update the estimated time frame for completion when possible so you can plan accordingly.

Automated Repair Updates

During the repair process, you will receive automated updates via text or email. These updates will provide you with information about the status of your vehicle and estimated completion times. You can respond to these notifications with any questions, you can also turn them off at any time.

Insurance and Deductible Payments

If you have a deductible it will be due to Ace Collision at or before the time of delivery - cash/check/card, also if you have received any insurance payments those will typically need to be passed on as well, we will assist you with this process if you have any questions.

Payment Confirmation

Once repairs are completed, we will confirm the final bill payment details with your insurance company. There can be a delay here, as we require proof of payment before releasing the vehicle.

Vehicle Pickup

When your vehicle is ready, we will notify you to arrange for pick-up. During pick-up, if desired, we can walk you through the repairs completed, we want to ensure you are completely satisfied!

Thank you for choosing Ace Collision Center. If you have any questions regarding your collision repair process, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help!
